Custom Folded Unipole Skirt kit is available for use with a variety of electrically grounded towers, including guyed towers self supporting towers and monopoles. Moment method computer modeling of the folded monopole kit and tower allow for custom skirt lengths and configurations to fit your needs.
The standard Folded Unipole Kit is described as follows:
· Consist of a 3 or 6 wire skirt composed of copperweld wires with a horizontal communing hoop at the bottom.
· · The skirt is insulated from the tower at the bottom and will be supported at the top and bottom with aluminum brackets
· · The skirt is supported with a 30 inch long fiberglass insulator standoffs
· · Unique Standoff Insulator design securely captures the wire while simultaneously allowing the wire to freely slide through the insulator during · tensioning and as a result of thermal expansions and contractions
· · Standoff insulators use no metallic hardware on the wire end and are designed for ease in installation and require no threading of the skirt wires through the insulators during installation or maintenance.
· · The vertical skirt wires are tensioned with springs and turnbuckles. A moveable shorting stub composed of copperweld wires are provided for tuning the antenna.
· · All necessary mounting hardware for the top and bottom brackets and all standoff insulators is included.
· · Complete Drawing Package with installation instructions is also included.
· Custom skirt kits are available for special tower installations and for high power stations.
